According to USA Today, 8 out of the Top 14 best-selling books this week are Harry Potter novels with the rankings looking like so:#1: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

#9: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
#10: High Noon
#11: Water for Elephants
#12: The Clique #8: Sealed with a Diss
#13: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
#14: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

I wonder what if feels like to be an author with not one but eight books at the top of the best-sellers list. Probably a hell of a lot better than it feels to be the authors who WOULD be at the top of the list if it weren't for Harry Potter--although I'm sure "The Clique #8: Sealed with a Diss" is an intellectual force and will be receiving the National Book Award any day now.
