"Coming Out" is the New "Adopting African Babies"
Hollywood is officially on a mass exodus out of the closet. In the past few weeks, no fewer than 4 celebrities have come out--NSync's Lance Bass, Grey's Anatomy star T.R. Knight, Neil Patrick "Doogie Howser" Harris and Lost's Michelle Rodriguez.The trend seems to have stemmed from gossip blogger Perez Hilton, who has been adamant about "outing" closeted celebrites--even as they desperately cling to the closet doors in protest.
Perez was the driving force behind the outings of Lance Bass and Neil Patrick Harris and has been pushing other celebrites to come out as well.
"We are throwing down the gauntlet and issue a challenge to all the closeted celebrities out there...Come out in droves!!...Society will no longer be able to marginalize us!!...Please, stand up! Do your part!
"We are talking to you Anderson Cooper, Jodie Foster, Kevin Spacey, Clay Aiken, Queen Latifah, Ricky Martin, Matt Dallas, Wentworth Miller, Richard Simmons, Sean Hayes and the rest of you!" states Hilton.
Perez may know his stuff but Richard Simmons?? Gay??? Thats just crazy talk.
